Background: 

There are a number of privacy laws and regulations which govern how health information can be shared. However, one of the most significant in recent years has been HIPAA, The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Watkins Health Services complies with all HIPAA regulations to assure patient health information is protected.
