University of Kansas Court of Parking Appeals Rules of Practice and Procedure
Rules of Practice and Procedure are promulgated by the Court of Parking appeals for the guidance of judges and attorneys in the fair and timely consideration of cases. The Court of Parking Appeals is a quasi-judicial board that shall review appeals as a court of equity, weighing the interests of the State of Kansas and university in promoting safe, orderly, and effective traffic operations against mitigating circumstances surrounding the appellant's violation.

01/21/2020: Uploaded updated policies and procedures for 2019-2020. Section 3, Jurisdiction and 8.1.1, reflect the ongoing practice of the Court of Parking Appeals and the Transportation Services Department. Section 3, “Jurisdiction,” clarifies the date in which citations must be adjudicated. Under 8.1.1, “Right to Counsel,” codifies the ability of an appellant to ask a specific law student serve as their defense counsel, and outlines the procedures.
