Supplemental Salary Funding: Agency Approval by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences

Purpose: 

To provide a list of agencies pre-approved by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences for Supplemental Salary Funding, and to provide information about requesting approval of other agencies.

Faculty members in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

Policy Statement: 

Faculty members in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences frequently avail themselves of the Supplemental Salary Funding (SSF) Policy established by the Provost’s Office. The CLAS Dean’s Office recognizes the agencies listed below as national or internationally recognized agencies such that faculty members who receive awards from these agencies do not need to obtain additional approval. Note that, regardless of whether an agency is listed below, any award must comply with the Provost’s Office policy mentioned above.

College faculty hoping to obtain SSF support in connection with a possible award from an agency that is not listed below should contact their department’s Associate Dean for Research regarding eligibility before applying for the award. Any such award must comply with the Provost’s Office policy mentioned above.

In all cases, faculty members should proceed in compliance with the Supplemental Salary Funding (SSF) Application Procedures established by the Provost’s Office.
