School of Pharmacy Students and Awarding Title VII Funds
Health Professions Student Loans (HPSL) and Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS) are Title VII Federal Aid Programs. Financial Aid and Scholarships (FAS) must follow policies established by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to administer these programs. The FAS office sets the priority date and Expected Family Contribution (EFC) criteria.
KU School of Pharmacy students, Graduate and Undergraduate levels
Eligibility
HPSL (Health Professional Student Loan)
- Student must be admitted to the School of Pharmacy PharmD program.
- Available to both Graduates and Undergraduates in the PharmD program.
- Award ranges from $500 or up to Cost of Attendance.
- Student must have an EFC of $8000 or less, including parental income information.
- Student must have a complete financial aid file by the March 1st priority date.
- Student must have remaining financial need after grants, scholarships, and fee reductions.
LDS (Loan for Disadvantaged Students)
- Student must be admitted to the School of Pharmacy PharmD program.
- Available to both Graduates and Undergraduates in the PharmD program.
- Award ranges from $500 or up to Cost of Attendance.
- Student must have parent information on FAFSA, even if Independent Undergraduate or Graduate student.
- Student and parents must meet criteria set by HRSA, according to the income level chart.
- Student must have a complete financial aid file by March 1st priority date.
- Student must have remaining financial need after grants, scholarships, and fee reductions.
